To enhance passenger experience, starting May 10, 2025, Vietnam Railways will officially launch 20 newly upgraded luxury carriages on the Hanoi – Hai Phong railway route. These modern carriages will operate on the following train numbers: HP1/HP2, LP5/LP6, LP2/LP3, and LP7/LP8.

For the first time ever, Vietnam Railways introduces a VIP carriage with 34 seats, designed in elegant Indochine style – blending modern lines with traditional Eastern colors, offering a refined and luxurious ambiance. The carriage features natural wooden floors, free onboard Wi-Fi, and a bar serving complimentary beverages. This promises to be a unique, mobile check-in spot – and even a space for live music performances during the journey.

The 56-seat carriage is equipped with rotatable 180-degree seats, allowing passengers to adjust their sitting direction comfortably – no more motion sickness from riding backwards! All interior elements are carefully selected to provide maximum comfort for travelers throughout the trip.

In addition, the new carriages are equipped with semi-automatic doors, digital displays showing train speed and location, spacious hand-washing areas, and modern, clean restrooms. The floor is covered with plastic carpet and the walls are lined with marble-patterned panels in a luxurious color scheme.

To meet diverse passenger needs, the train will also include standard 64-seat carriages, alongside flexible ticket pricing policies.
