Vietnam Railways worked with NSF

On September 21st 2015, the Vietnam Railways worked with National Standard Finance from USA. National Standard Finance (NSF) is a leading progressive institution in Foreign Direct Investment and Private Structured Debt solutions across the developed, emerging and frontier markets including Africa, Asia, Europe, India, Middle East and Latin America.

NSF develops and finances infrastructure and real estate assets by bridging the gap between the public authorities' financing requirements and their need to deliver long-term infrastructure assets and services, with the expertise and efficiencies provided by private sector developers and private capital.

NSF proposes Vietnam Railways to invest in infrastructure. Each transaction is around $ 2 billion with various methods such as PPP, DBFOT, DBOT or BOT ...

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh appreciates the potential of NSF and hopes both sides to exchange more information to promote cooperation, specially the methods of investment to upgrade the existing Vietnam railway network then modernize and develop it.

Announcement: The high-quality train service Se21/Se22 will commence operations from April 30th, 2024

Introducing the ultra-luxurious train service from Saigon to Da Nang, complete with Wi-Fi and 180-degree swivel seats!

On April 27th at Saigon Station, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) unveiled the high-quality SE21/22 train service (Saigon - Da Nang route).

Following the success of the high-quality Hanoi - Da Nang train (SE19/20), SE21/22 is a new product boasting superior amenities and aesthetics, introduced by the railway sector to meet the travel demands during the April 30th - May 1st holidays, expected to become a "hot" travel choice for tourists in the summer of 2024.

The carriages used on the SE21/22 train are among the best selected by VNR for upgrades and renovations, enhancing amenities and aesthetics. Notably, several modern features are introduced for the first time by Vietnam Railways to serve passengers.

The interior of the carriages has been completely renovated to offer a modern and luxurious experience. In addition to the four-bed compartments, the train includes one carriage with three VIP compartments, featuring two sofa seats suitable for passengers seeking private space.

A remarkable surprise for passengers aboard the SE21/22 train is the introduction of swivel seats in the sitting carriages—a first for Vietnam Railways. Passengers can now comfortably adjust their seating direction, eliminating discomfort from facing the opposite direction while the train is in motion. Initially, this seat type is available in one seating carriage on the SE21/22 train.

For the first time, VNR has also upgraded and expanded restroom facilities (increasing from 1m to 1.4m), replaced porcelain fixtures, installed moisture-resistant flooring, added ventilation fans, and implemented advanced waste treatment systems to minimize odors.

We hope to see you on our train soon.
